Queen Victoria and Prince Albert bought and rebuilt the original Osborne House in 1845 as a “modest country home”. With this in mind you will be surprised by its scale and magnificence. Inside opulence abounds... Admire the Indian Durbar Room, marbled pillars, gilding and grand paintings. Visit Queen Victoria’s own private, bedroom and closet and the Royal Children’s nursery. See personal mementos and curios and discover the true grandeur of the Victorian age.

Open for pre booked guided tours only from 1 Nov - 20 Mar, 10:00 - 16:00 Wed-Sun.(NB last tour is 14:30. House and grounds close 16:00. During the Christmas tour season 10 Nov - 6 Jan, last tour time is 15:00).

From Ryde Catamaran/Hovertravel: No. 4 bus route to East Cowes
From Yarmouth ferry: No. 7 to Newport and change to No. 5 to East Cowes.
